The annotate Command
The annotate command displays the revision number, time, and the name of end users modifying the files. Every
line displayed corresponds to a single revised line. This command does not alter the files in the repository.
For example, to view the information of the new.txt file, the syntax is:
$ cvs annotate –l new.txt
